Carpenter's glue, also known as woodworking glue, is a type of adhesive that is commonly used in kitchen cabinet construction. It is a water-based glue that is made from a combination of polymers and other chemicals. Carpenter's glue is known for its strong bonding properties, making it ideal for use in woodworking projects such as cabinet assembly.
One of the key benefits of carpenter's glue is its ability to bond to a wide range of materials, including wood, plywood, and particleboard. It creates a strong, durable bond that can withstand the stress and weight of heavy kitchen cabinets. Carpenter's glue also dries clear, which makes it a good choice for projects where the adhesive will be visible.
Carpenter's glue is typically applied using a brush or roller, and excess glue can be wiped away with a damp cloth. It is important to clamp the pieces together tightly while the glue dries, in order to create a strong and secure bond. Carpenter's glue is non-toxic and easy to clean up with water, which makes it a safe and convenient option for use in kitchen cabinet construction.
